What a morning.

I wasn't dreaming anything until I woke up for a second and rolled over to my other side. I must have heard the thunderstorm because I dreamt I was working at Lakeside and a huge storm was above us. I saw lightning and tried to whistle and call it out so everyone would leave the water, but my whistle didn't work. Other lifeguards tried but they were all weak. Eventually everyone left the water seeing the storm.

I dreamt that I had told the Lakeside staff that I was having a party at my grandparents house. I get there and my grandparents are home, saying they didn't feel like going out of town. My sister and Rodolfo show up and I yell at them to go away. I call the Lakeside people and say, I'm sorry. I don't want to have a party. I'm going to watch the OC instead.

I was just about to watch the OC in my dreams when I woke up to my phone vibrating and my babysitting job wondering where I was. I frantically jumped out of bed saying "oh no, oh no, oh no" over and over. I tend to become incredibly distressed at the idea of letting authority figures down. My mother walks in the room, sleepy.

"Oh, I forgot about you this morning Karen. I didn't remember to make sure you were up."

I drove to the far East End in a terrifying thunderstorm and rain. I get here and the father was more cheerful than he usually is in the morning.

"I hear downtown Louisville is a flooded mess!"

I prefer thunderstorms when I am in my bed dreaming.
